Public Transportation
There are three public transportation services available to residents of Kitimat.
Kitimat Transit
Kitimat Transit provides conventional, fixed-route, set-schedule bus service within the District of Kitimat. Service runs 7 days a week between City Centre; Kildala, Whitesail and Nechako Neighbourhoods; Service Centre and the Industrial Area. All local busses are low-floor design and equipped to carry wheelchairs and/or scooters. Bike racks are available; maximum two bikes per bus.

taxiDART
taxiDART is convenient door-to-door transportation for people with disabilities. Any person who, due to a physical or mental disability, is unable to use regular transit is eligible for taxiDART service.
taxiDART users must register with Kitimat Home Support (250-632-4449) before booking their first trip. There is no fee to register. Service is available from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm daily. taxiDART trips can be booked by calling 250-632-7250.

Skeena Regional
Skeena Regional provides conventional, fixed-route; set-schedule bus service between Kitamaat Village and Kitimat; and between Kitimat and Terrace. Inbound and outbound busses on the Terrace-Kitimat Connector route also stop at the postal kiosk in the Cable Car Neighbourhood. There are three round trips each day, Monday through Friday, plus one early-morning bus from Kitamaat Village to Kitimat.
Riders may connect at Terrace to Kitsumkalum or Queensway - Gitaus, or transfer to Terrace Transit.
